Spiritual Math

Scientists have determined that almost everything that we can see and touch has a certain mathematical equation to its makeup, but the same math that we use with physical things does not hold true for the Spiritual realm. In the Spiritual realm (1+1+1 = 1) is a true equation. We see this in the Trinity makeup of God. They are three, but still only one.

We get to choose the math we are going to live by. If we are willing to be born again of God, then we also become one with God (the Trinity). So if we are willing to die to ourselves and become one with God, then the equation (the Trinity + us = 1) is a true statement. But if we are unwilling to die, because we want to keep our individualism and control over our own life and desires – then we will not become one with God and we must still use the earthly math equation, which is (the Trinity + us = 2). In the earthly equation, we stay separated from God.

1 John 4:15 - If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him.

Mark 8:35 - For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me and for the gospel will save it.

We can only be added to God’s Spirit realm when we are willing to let go of our own individualized spirit. Our spirit cannot be joined into God’s Spirit (which is one in total unity) until we are willing to let our spirit be transformed into His Spirit. We are all born with a separate spirit (apart from God), but He gives us a way to be joined with His Spirit if we are willing to let go of our own desires and selfish spirit. In essence we must die to our self before we can be merged with God’s Holy Spirit. This is why the scriptures say we must decrease so He can increase. When we die to ourselves and become one with God, we decrease and God’s Spirit realm increases.

John 3:30 - He must increase, but I must decrease.

I have realized that even though most teach and proclaim a “what God can do for me gospel”, that life is not about me at all. It is all about glorifying God and doing His will (not my own will). So because I am no longer considered my own, but a part of a much bigger and glorious God, I am no longer living for myself, but for the one that is in me.

I was born with an individual spirit with the name of Michael W Reid, but I am no longer that individual. I am no longer an individual of one, but have become one with my God. The name Michael W Reid no longer has much meaning, because I am now called a Christian.

Many people want to be remembered and leave a legacy – so that their name will be remembered. For me, my personal name is only worth the dust that it came from. I only want to leave a legacy with the souls that were willing to get close enough to me to see that I lived the Words I spoke and that I only spoke the Words of Him that was in me.

The Greater Blessings

God offers many blessings, but what are the greatest blessings?

When we have just had a car accident with another car, is the blessing that we weren’t hurt or is it more of a blessing that the people in the other car were not hurt or killed? For the probability of the people in the other car being ready to meet the Lord at that time is not very good.

Is the greater blessing knowing and feeling God working in your life, or is it knowing and seeing other people being blessed by God working through you?

Is the greater blessing knowing your eternity is safe in the Lord, or is it more of a blessing knowing that others have that same assurance?

Is it enough knowing God loves us, or are you not satisfied until others know God’s love also?

Are we considered spiritually alive when God enters our life, or are we really alive when we are living for others?

No Going Back Now

While driving and trying the byways of life
Yearning to find the treasure of great price
While searching for the way – the way of life
At His great cost – His path have I now found
There is no going back now
For what I was lacking – the way of His life
I have been given a thing of greatest price
What once was just His – He has now shared with me
To this I am now bound – for His ways are now my ways
And I know His way is not a highway
So, I will finish this path to its glorious end
Where this ruff road turns to pure gold
Where then I can enter my rest

The truth – which truth does a person believe
For there are as many truths as people it seems
Our wants have been transformed to needs
And our wants is what we choose to believe
The truth I have found is only in one
He is one of the three and the one is the three
This truth was before opinions or needs
For it is this one truth I believe
And it fills every need and makes me free
There is no going back for me now
No other truth fulfills so much
And no other can free me to believe
The truth used to be only one
But now it is in me, because I believe

I once thought of life
That it was all about me
What I could love – for the enjoyment of me
Who I could get from and who I could use
But as I found God
Or did He find me
He made me realize – self love is not love
I was only loving me
I could not know love until He came into my heart
He has given me life – because of this new heart
For now I see – real love is slicing my self up
And giving myself for free
To the ones like I was – before I was free
To love the unlovable – who I could not love before
There is no going back for me now
For without love – myself I could not face
For in Him I have love and His grace
And only in His love will I have such peace
For in Him I am something and know I am cherished
But without love I am nothing and know I will parish

So there is no turning back now
Though I suppose I have that choice
My choice is with the Master
The Way, Truth, and Life
